While extinguishing a fire on the stairs at Hallera Street in Opole, firefighters found a burned body. The police, under the supervision of the prosecutor, determine the victim's identity.
According to the officer on duty from the Provincial Fire Department Headquarters in Opole – after 6.30 they received a report about burning stairs on Hallera Street in Opole – the stairs were located in the connector between the streets. After the fire was extinguished, a burnt body was found under the stairs. The police took over the on-site operations. The fire brigade completed its operations.
– We received information about the discovery of the body of a deceased person. Police officers from the investigation team are working on site and, under the supervision of the prosecutor, they are explaining the circumstances of this situation. We are still determining the identity of this person – says Asp. Przemysław Kędzior, press officer of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Opole.
