She left the house with her one-year-old child and went into the forest. The caller said she might be drunk. The police station raised the alarm. Two hours later, the woman and child were found. Nothing happened to them.

On Thursday at around 2:30 p.m. the police officer on duty in Ostrołęka received a report about a mother with a one-year-old child who had left her home. Initial information indicated that she may have been drunk and had headed towards the forest.

– The police station began operations involving police officers from almost all departments. An alarm was also raised, which resulted in officers who were “off duty” that day also joining in the search – reports Senior Superintendent Tomasz Żerański from the police in Ostrołęka.

Less than two hours later, police officers from the Myszyniec police station found a woman with a child in the forest.

– The sobriety test showed that the child's mother had over 1.5 per mille of alcohol in her system. She was detained and placed in police custody, while the child was handed over to a family member. Further proceedings in this case are being conducted by police officers from the police station in Łyse – adds Senior Superintendent Tomasz Żerański.
