Ostrów policemen detained a man who on Easter Sunday, after a quarrel with his loved ones, set fire to the wall of a wooden house. The man was detained, he will spend the next three months in custody.

The incident occurred on April 20. At night, the Ostrowska headquarters received a notification about the arson of a wooden house in Kiełczew (Małkinia Górna commune). The fire brigade confirmed the arson after pushing the fire.

He threatened to “deal with them”

– Police officers in Ostrów found that between the 43-year-old and his loved ones (mother, brother and sister-in-law) there was a quarrel, after which the man threatened to “” arrang them. ” After a sister-in-law, the 43-year-old noticed fire outside the building. The woman and her husband and mother -in -law began extinguishing the fire, while the 43 -year -old escaped from the place of arrival of the services – aspirant Marzena Laczkowska, press officer of the Poviat Police Headquarters in Ostrów Mazowiecka, said.

Policemen performed the criminal division at the scene of the incident. In turn, police officers from the prevention division patrolled nearby forests in search of the perpetrator.

At some point, the uniforms noticed a man who corresponds to the description of the arsonist. – At the sight of the police car, he tried to escape, after a short pursuit he was detained and transported to the Ostrów command. A sobriety test showed over 0.7 per mil of alcohol in the body. The 43 -year -old was arrested, where further actions were performed with him after sobering up, said the spokeswoman.

After analyzing the evidence, the prosecutor decided to apply to the court to apply a preventive measure in the form of temporary detention. On Wednesday morning, the court granted the application.

There is up to three imprisonment for the risk of losing his life or severe damage to health.
