Paweł Kowal on territorial concessions for Putin. “Finally, he will find us a goal”

– For us it is important not to legally recognize any territorial changes of Ukraine, because it directly affects Polish security – said Paweł Kowal, MP of the Civic Coalition and the Government Plenipotentiary for Rebuilding Ukraine, in “Kropka nad i” on TVN24. He referred to conversations conducted by US President Donald Trump with Russian President Vladimir Putin and President Volodymyr Zelnski about the end of the war in Ukraine.

On Tuesday, Trump talked to Putin by phone. They agreed, among other things, that the Kremlin would suspend the critical infrastructure for 30 days Ukraine. At the same time, Putin wants to suspend Western supplies for Kiev and mobilize Ukrainian soldiers. On Wednesday, the American leader talked to the President of Ukraine by phone. Trump later reported in the entry on Truth Social that he “had a very good conversation” with Zelanski. In turn, the President of Ukraine admitted that the conversation with Trump was “positive, substantive and honest”.

“There may be big trouble for two, three, four years”

MP KO also suggested that “for everyone it is clear that if Putin once recognizes some changes in borders he made by force, he will definitely go further.” – Our Polish raison d'etat is fundamental here and this is the source for which we are concerned about American policy towards Ukraine. Because we look at it through the prism of our raison d'etat and we see that there may be big troubles in two, three, four years – said Kowal.

– Let's have no doubt: Putin will finally find us a goal. (…) He always indicates Poland as a goal, because he is obsessed because he is crazy about Poland. If he does not attack physically, because at the beginning he will not be able to attack information, energetically, in every possible field. And we must be prepared for this – added the MP.

Blacksmith: maybe a new Atlantic deal will come out of it

The blacksmith was also asked if he was worried about the attitude of the American administration on Ukraine. He said that “here there is no place for nervous reactions, here is time to react calmly, remind the basic facts.”

– United States – ed.) They have commitments to us, we have commitments to the United States, this is our basic partner. I assume that you need to keep a short time that you need a new administration to understand how Putin works. In Washington, there are a lot of experts they may ask, also in republican environments, and you need to re -arrange Atlantic relations – he pointed out.

As he continued, the policy of the Polish government is such that “on the one hand, do not react nervously, and mobilize the Union on the other.” “And maybe there will be something more good from it than we would expect, or some new Atlantic deal,” he said.

Blacksmith: You have to wisely organize ideas regarding the reconstruction of Ukraine

The government's representative for Ukraine was asked about a fragment of the message after Trump's conversation with Zelanski, which shows that the American president said that the US may be “very helpful” in managing Ukrainian power plants.

– There are many of these ideas, maybe some of them are also interesting for Ukraine. Because there is a matter of access to these mines, there is a matter of access to infrastructure, also rebuilt, there is a matter of security guarantee. If someone sits and sorts it wisely, then nothing has to result from it – commented the blacksmith.

He added that “the problem is that today, from our point of view, these are the topics that are not yet arranged in the whole map.” – Because it is obvious that the process of rebuilding Ukraine will also consist in the fact that American, European, also Polish enterprises will enter Ukraine in ownership – he added. He emphasized, however, that the weapon must first be suspended. – Because who will go to Ukraine when he does not know if he will safely reach Kiev, will the drones not attack him? – He pointed out.

The guest of TVN24 also said that the Polish side responds to the tightening Russian rhetoric should be the East shield.
