From next year, some of the benefits will change in the following months. We have highlighted five of them, from which people with disabilities can gain up to several thousand zlotys.
The social pension will increase and other benefits will follow. Big raise
First of all, from the beginning of the year support benefit will also be available to people with disabilities with lower levels of support need, i.e. from 78 to 86 points. Currently, it is only available to people whose support level is between 87 and 100 points.
That's relatively new a benefit that can be applied for independently of other forms of support received by people with disabilities. There is also no income criterion. Its amount depends on the social pension. It ranges from 40 percent. up to 220 percent pensions depending on “need points”. From 1 March 2024, the social pension increased to PLN 1,780.96 gross. This, in turn, means that currently the minimum you can receive is PLN 712 and the maximum is PLN 3,000. PLN 198
And so we move on to the second injection of funds for the disabled. Well social pension (like pensions) is indexed. From March 1, 2025, the social pension will increase to PLN 1,000. PLN 901 and PLN 71 and will result in an increase in the support benefit. The minimum amount will be PLN 760 and the maximum will be PLN 4,000. PLN 183 Of course, the increase in the pension itself will be an additional cash injection for people with disabilities.
Old benefits were dusted off and new ones added. This will be the year 2025
Additionally, in May, people entitled to a social pension who are completely unable to work and live independently will receive the so-called complementary supplement in the amount of PLN 2,520. It is to be paid with compensation from January. Pensioners will therefore receive PLN 12,600 one-time and then PLN 2,520 per month. This is a new benefit, which is to be paid for the first time next year.
Apart from that government dusted off introduced in 2019 500 plus. However, it is not about the allowance kidand a supplementary benefit for people unable to live independently of the same amount. The problem, however, is that not everyone receives them in this amount. The benefit has an income criterion, above which it is reduced in accordance with the “PLN for PLN” principle. The third important change scheduled for 2025 is to raise this threshold.

In this way, the benefit would reach a larger number of people, and some whose benefits are reduced in accordance with the principle “one zloty for one zloty” would receive it in a larger amount.
The last change the government is preparing is an increase care services. They are awarded to people who take care of people with disabilities up to 18 years of age. The benefit will increase by as much as 10% next year. up to PLN 3,287 per month. This will be an increase of PLN 299 compared to 2024.
