Talking to the woman crying on the phone, she was convinced that she was her daughter. The 69-year-old from Piaseczno believed the fraudsters. She gave his life savings to a man who appeared in front of her house and claimed to be a lawyer.

Despite many appeals of the services, social campaigns, preventive meetings and messages informing about crimes made by various methods, there are still people who fall into the absolute trap of fraudsters. Criminals do not stop in their actions, depriving more people of their lives often. A 69-year-old resident of Piaseczno has found out how fraudsters work and how it is easy to become their victim.

She gave all the savings to a fake lawyer

The whole story began very characteristic for this type of crime. The 69-year-old in her phone's phone heard the voice of a crying woman calling for help. She was convinced that she was talking to her daughter, who caused an accident and hit a pregnant woman. After a while, she heard a male voice in the phone.

– The interlocutor announced that he was a policeman, he confirmed that the 69-year-old daughter caused an accident, and the victim's family demanded the arrest of the perpetrator. The only way to “save” the daughter is to transfer a deposit of PLN 130,000 – said the spokeswoman of the Piaseczno police, commissioner Magdalena Gąsowska.

And she added: – Despite the fact that the 69 -year -old did not have such an amount, the desire to help a loved one was so huge that she gathered all the savings she had at home, and then gave to a false lawyer who appeared in front of the senior house. The woman realized that she was victims of fraud only after transferring the money, when she managed to contact one of the family members.

On the example of this event, the police once again warn against making decisions about transferring money in a hurry. He also reminds that policemen do not demand them from anyone.

– If we receive a suspicious phone with a request to pay funds to the indicated account, we can be sure that we are dealing with a cheater. We urge you to maintain reason and not to make money to people whose identity we are not able to verify – warned commander -in -chief Gąsowska.
