“Good news: from December 14, Pendolino will run from Warsaw to Poznań. I intervened with the previous government many times in this matter. It was only now that I succeeded,” he confirmed in a short entry on the platform X Minister for European Union Adam Szłapka. Importantly, the same one information also applies to Szczecin, where a new train will also appear on the route from Warsaw.

Although the launch of two new Pendolino connections is expected to be associated with greater comfort for passengers and shorter travel times, as returned attention Łukasz Malinowski, editor-in-chief and managing director at ZDG TOR – “[Pendolino] on this route it will not go faster than 160 km/h. The trains have been in Poland for almost a decade, but there is still no line in the country that could run 250 km/h, and that's why they were bought.

Minister of Infrastructure Dariusz Klimczak announced that from December, travel times will be shortened for many connections: the Warsaw – Łódź route will be covered by the train in one hour and 5 minutes, the train from Wrocław to Gdańsk will take 4 hours and 17 minutes, and travelers going from the capital to Poznań will get there 9 minutes faster than before. The company also announced the introduction of the so-called cyclical timetable on several routes. This includes: for connections from Warsaw to Krakow, Tricity and on the Krakow – Wrocław route. It should be mentioned that PKP Intercity will also purchase new double-decker trains with a speed of up to 200 km/h.
