Płońsk. The phone rang, nobody said, but in the background he heard a suspicious conversation

A fraudster called to an older man from Płońsk, claiming to be a bank employee. He urged him to take a loan and transfer money to his account. It failed, because the conversation, thanks to the cleverness of the man's wife, heard the Płońsk police duty officer.

A few days ago, the duty officer of the Poviat Police Headquarters in Płońsk received an unusual application. Nobody spoke, but in the background you could hear a conversation in which the man convinced someone to take a loan.

– Suspecting the attempt to fraud, he tried to make contact many times, but to no avail. However, he carefully listened to the conversation heard in the phone to catch important information. The officers began to track the phone number and determined the owner's place of residence – informs Kinga Drężek -Zzysłowska from the Police in Płońsk in a communication.

He was already signing the contract

The actions taken led policemen to one of the bank branches, where they found an older marriage while signing the loan agreement. It turned out that the 71-year-old had previously received a phone call from the alleged bank employee who informed him that someone on his behalf had taken a loan for PLN 43,000. To allegedly avoid repayment of this debt, the fraudster tried to persuade him to take a loan for 100,000. PLN and transferring funds to the indicated account.

The fraudster exerted a huge pressure on an older man, threatened him with legal consequences. The 71-year-old wife, feeling a fraud, secretly from the interlocutor from her phone, called the police, but fearing the fraudster's reaction, she did not speak to the duty officer-adds Kom. Saved money

Policemen interrupted the transaction at the last moment. Thanks to their intervention, the marriage did not lose his savings, and the fraud attempt was unsuccessful. Despite this, the fraudster tried to contact them several times, exerting pressure.
