Poles are buying more and more houses in Spain – said the economic journal “Expansion”, and he referred to the data of the Association of Registers. The interest of the Spanish real estate market can also be seen among the citizens of other Eastern European countries.
In 2024, Poles bought a total of almost 4,300 properties, i.e. by 36.6 percent. more than in 2023. Most transactions concerned the community of Valencia, Andalusia, the Canary Islands, Catalonia and Murcia.
Poles buy houses in Spain
As “Expansion” pointed out, most often people aged 45 to 65 decide on such a step, who usually look for houses on the Spanish coast for occasional use and as long -term investments.
The main reasons for great interest in the Spanish market among Polish citizens are closeness wars in Ukraine and a picture Spain as a safe and attractive place. Also the possibilities of Poles who have increased significantly in recent decades – the newspaper pointed out.

“They are looking for a safe place without expecting large profits, but their main goal is to diversify and possess a home in a country with a good climate and high -quality life,” explained “Expansion”.
According to experts cited by the newspaper, the upward trend among Poles will probably persist, although on the list of foreigners buying houses in Spain they only occupy the place only at the end of the top ten.
In recent years, interest in real estate in Spain has also increased, among others among customers with Romania, Bulgaria, Hungarian, Lithuania and Ukraine.
