On Friday, Marcin Kulasek, the Minister of Science and Higher Education (left) on TVN24, referred to the tragic events at the campus of the University of Warsaw. – You certainly need to analyze some things and this process has begun. I am probably the last person who would like just such spaces that were available not only to young people, but to the residents of data of regions and towns, to close – said the minister. After the tragedy, Kulasek took part in a special meeting at the Warsaw Police Headquarters. The Interior Minister was also present Tomasz SiemoniakChief Commandant insp. Marek Boroń, Capital Commander insp. Dariusz Walichnowski and the rector of the University of Warsaw, prof. Alojzy Nowak.

– The Capital Commander (police – ed.) Presented an agreement (…) between the police and the University of Warsaw and this agreement was (…) of 2004. So signed over 20 years ago. We know how the world has changed since then – Kulasek pointed out, referring to the issue of security.

The minister was also asked about the health condition of the UW guard, who at the time of the incident tried to overpower the attacker. – Fortunately, this state improved so much that he is no longer threatened by danger, but it is still a difficult state. I know that the doctors did everything to save the fitness in their hands, because, as I said with my bare hands, he went to overpower the attacker – said Kulasek.

– It must be clearly said that these systemic changes should relate, among other things, that this guard that protects – which protects the university's property, protects students, but also employees – had funds that will allow the attacker to be overwhelmed in such situations, work at all – added the minister.

At the same time, he did not indicate what specific means of defense should be equipped with universities.

Minister of Science: I do not exclude candidacy for the head of the left

At the beginning of May, the Minister of Family, Labor and Social Policy Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk In “Facts after Facts” on TVN24 she announced her start in the election at the left chairman. The minister of science, when asked on Friday about a possible support for a politician, replied that he did not rule out his candidacy. – Perhaps it will be that the Minister of Science, previously the deputy minister of state assets, and the current secretary general of this party, i.e. the second person in the party (…) can start – he said.

The confederation candidate for president Sławomir Mentzen stated in an interview that in his “ideal world of studies are paid.” When asked about these words, Kulasek said: – In my ideal world I can't think of it. It is amazing that the candidate for the office of the president tells such things. But that's good, because if he tells such things, he certainly will never become this president.
