Pope Leon XIV visited the Augustinian Marian Sanctuary in Genazzano near Rome on Saturday. He arrived by car, sitting next to the driver. This is the first unexpected visit of the new Pope two days after election to the conclave.
The Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Good Council, to which Leon XIV came to, is particularly close to the Pope, who belongs to the Augustinian order.

His visit was private – he said Vatican.
