Andrzej K., a well-known mixed martial arts trainer, was detained and arrested on charges of murder that occurred in one of Poznań's clubs in 2002. The breakthrough in the case – according to the National Prosecutor's Office – came thanks to the testimony of a crown witness.
K. was one of 19 detained as part of the operation carried out by the officers CBŚP in recent days, o which we wrote on tvn24.pl. Some of the suspects were charged with participation in an organized criminal group and drug smuggling and marketing. However, the harshest punishment awaits Andrzej K. He is a famous mixed martial arts trainer. According to the prosecutor's office, he is responsible for the murder of an Armenian that took place 22 years ago in the Blue Note club in Poznań.

“Gazeta Wyborcza”, which was the first to report on the severe charges against the man, recalled that the man's death took place on November 22, 2002. It was then that an argument broke out between an Armenian partying there and a group of men. The foreigner was to be taken to the back of the premises and brutally beaten there. The injuries he received were so severe that he died.
Stopping
An investigation conducted years ago into the death of an Armenian ended in discontinuation because the investigators failed to collect sufficient evidence. This, however, was about to change now, thanks to information from a crown witness.
– The collected evidence provided the basis for charging Andrzej K. with murder, against whom the court applied a preventive measure in the form of pretrial arrest for a period of three months – says Katarzyna Calów-Jaszewska from the press office of the National Prosecutor's Office.
K. was detained at his home in Poznań.
Known and respected in the community
Andrzej K. is one of the most famous trainers in the country. Previously, he successfully participated in the national wrestling championships. He prepared fighters from various federations, including the UFC – one of the most prestigious in the world – for mixed martial arts fights.
