President Andrzej Duda said that the current National Electoral Commission was staffed with people who “cannot maintain class” and “political impartiality.” Ryszard Kalisz, one of the committee members, commented on this statement in the “Tak jest” program on TVN24, saying that he saw inconsistency in the words of the head of state. President Andrzej Duda during a press conference during his visit to Jordan was asked about the decision of the National Electoral Commission on Monday rejected PiS's financial report for 2023. – I can only express my regret that it has been functioning very well for the last dozen or so years National Electoral Commission at the moment, it has been filled by the current parliamentary majority with people who cannot maintain class and cannot maintain the necessary political impartiality in this area. This is very clearly visible, said the president.
Kalisz: I see inconsistency in the president's words about the National Electoral Commission
He referred to these words of the president in the “Tak jest” program on TVN24 Ryszard Kaliszone of the members of the National Electoral Commission, former politician SLD.
He said that when the president nominated him as a committee member, he complimented him. – I was very pleased. I won't quote you at the moment, but when he presented the nomination, the president said something like this about me: you have such great political and legal experience, thank you for taking on this role – Kalisz reported.
Comparing this with the latest statement by the head of state, Kalisz said that there was an inconsistency here. And he added that “the president repeatedly demonstrates his inconsistency.”
Kalisz said that the president's words show that the previous composition of the National Electoral Commission functioned very well. – That is, the one who did not accept the report of Nowoczesna, PSL and so on – he pointed out. He recalled that PiS changed the method of appointing committee members and then the president could not sign the amendment.

– Let me remind you that it was the same President Andrzej Duda – and I personally witnessed it in the Presidential Palace – who appointed the National Electoral Commission and its members with great enthusiasm. He was happy that it would have this shape. He congratulated his choice and wished him fruitful service. He had no doubts about it, at least I didn't hear any, said Hołownia.
– I didn't hear such a word from the president when he appointed this commission. I've heard opinions just the opposite to this. I understand that the president's opinion has changed, he added.
