In his speech at the UN General Assembly, the Polish president warned that we are facing a crisis today. a serious threat to global security.

For two and a half years, we have witnessed Russia's brutal aggression against neighboring Ukraine. This is a flagrant violation of basic norms of international law, such as the prohibition of the use of force in international relations. This unprovoked aggression is destabilizing the region and poses a direct threat to global order and security. We cannot allow this war to turn into another frozen conflict. This is the most important task for the future, he said.

According to the president stopping the Russian war in Ukraine is important today not only to put an end to people's suffering and punish the aggressor, but also so that – as he said – Russia's shameful actions do not become a model for others to follow. He noted that Ukraine's territorial integrity must be restored within its internationally recognized borders.

– Ambassador Nebenzia and Russian propagandists like to call the democratically elected government of Ukraine Nazis. It so happens that in Poland I live three kilometers from the site of a former Nazi filtration camp from World War II. It is known that thousands of children from Poland and the Soviet Union, from the areas around Smolensk and Vitebsk, were imprisoned there. Up to 800 of these children died, but thousands were transported to the West to become Germanized, blond, blue-eyed, Aryan children considered racially appropriate – Sikorski said during his speech at the Security Council.

He recalled that the abduction and indoctrination of children constitutes genocide.
