Law and Justice politicians commented on the KO's decision. Zbigniew Bogucki, an MP from this party, said that “the result could have been predicted, after all, the primary elections were proposed by Trzaskowski himself.”

– Sikorski was humiliated because if he won only a quarter of the votes, Trzaskowski humiliated him. Radosław Sikorski tried to fight back, he tried to undercut Rafał Trzaskowski, exposing some of his flaws and weaknesses, but Trzaskowski's previous actions within the party were decisive – said the politician.

He also admitted that “for us this is an opponent against whom we will have to do a lot of work.” – We don't underestimate anyone. We do not underestimate Rafał Trzaskowski, we have never done so. We will have to work hard, but we will win the elections with our candidate, who will be announced tomorrow, said Bogucki.

In his opinion, Trzaskowski is a “very left-wing candidate who represents the extreme left agenda, which he shows as the president of Warsaw.” – It is enough to point out, for example, the removal of crosses or various types of issues related to… LGBT – he said.

– We cannot forget that he is the vice-chairman of the Civic Platform, he is Tusk's deputy, so the issue of high prices, a huge deficit, postponing large investments such as CPK, unfulfilled promises after the elections is not only the responsibility of Tusk or PO parliamentarians, but also of Trzaskowski as deputy leader. Civic Platform – he argued.

According to PiS MPTrzaskowski will have to “explain in the campaign everything they did not keep and everything they destroyed during the year of their rule.”

“It doesn't matter to us whether the candidate is Trzaskowski or Sikorski”

Przemysław Czarnek said in an interview with Onet that “if the KO primaries had been announced earlier, maybe Radosław Sikorski would have had a better chance.” – Anyway, it doesn't matter, because for us it doesn't matter whether the candidate is Trzaskowski or Sikorski. From our point of view, the most important thing is to bring together the entire right-wing political scene. This will be the key to victory – said the PiS MP, former head of the Ministry of Education and Science.

– We appreciate our opponent who won the primaries in his party – he assured. He also noted that “Rafał Trzaskowski has his flaws and has made numerous embarrassments as the president of Warsaw.”

– It won't be difficult to point them out. However, it will undoubtedly be a fight until the last moment. Our candidate must do hard work to mobilize the right-wing electorate and win over undecided voters, Czarnek said.

Woś: Sikorski's result is very poor

Michał Woś, a Law and Justice MP from Sovereign Poland (the party recently merged with PiS), wrote on the website ) shows the 'value' of Roman Giertych and Klaudia Jachira. Both Giertych and Jachira declared support for Sikorski.

“And Trzaskowski? The beneficiary of the arrangements. Both herald Tusk's imminent defeat,” Woś added.

“Like party, like candidate”

Senator Stanisław Karczewski he wrote that it was “a spectacular failure and humiliation not only for Sikorski, but also for his 'followers' from many known internet troll farms. And their principals.”

“The PO candidate for president was Donald Tusk's party deputy, Rafał Trzaskowski – an opponent of CPK and Polish coal, a minister in the pro-Russian government of the PO-PSL coalition, a promoter of gender ideology, banning hanging crosses in public space,” wrote MP Janusz Kowalski. He added that “like the party, like the candidate.”
