The decision on whether to run for office will be made solely by Szymon Hołownia. MEP Michał Szczerba, speaking about who could be a candidate from the Civic Coalition, said that Rafał Trzaskowski had “gigantic potential”.

Will Hołownia start? “There's a lot to say both ways”
Kobosko was asked whether the Speaker of the Sejm would run in the presidential race Szymon Hołownia. – Only Szymon Hołownia will decide about this. He announced that he will make this decision soon and that he will announce it in December – said the MEP. He admitted that he did not know what his political superior would decide.
– This will be a personal decision of the marshal. Difficult in many respects, because there are many arguments both ways. But I am convinced that if he decides to run, he will be a very good, very tough competitor to other candidates and would be a very good president, added Kobosko.
He also referred to Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz's proposal from the end of October for the government coalition to have one common candidate. – This idea was not agreed with us, it was not agreed with Marshal Hołownia – he admitted.
– I believe that this is an idea that should be read in such a way that if there was a chance for one common coalition candidate on October 15, such a candidate could be, or should be, Marshal Szymon Hołownia – said Kobosko.
Szczerba: there are two fathers of the success of October 15
Michał Szczerba, speaking about the situation in the Civic Coalition, indicated that he was the favorite for the presidential nomination Rafał Trzaskowski.
– I believe that Rafał Trzaskowski is the candidate who has already collected 10 million votes in 2020. This is a gigantic potential that can be further built on, he said.
– I believe that there are actually two fathers of the success of October 15 and the success of the Civic Coalition. This is of course Donald Tuskbut also Rafał Trzaskowski, who started the march towards great change in 2020 – he added.
