Dense fog in Great Britain causes flight restrictions at several airports, informed the British NATS service, responsible for air traffic management.
The greatest difficulties occur at London's Heathrow and Gatwick airports, the first and second busiest airports in the country – writes the BBC. At Heathrow, 20 flights were canceled on Saturday and 29 were delayed, while at the latter, 26 connections were delayed and one was canceled.
A Gatwick official told AFP on Saturday that disruptions were likely to continue throughout the day.
Problems since Friday
Weather-related problems have been ongoing since Friday, when dozens of flights from airports in the capital and Manchester were canceled and hundreds were delayed, the agency reminds.
On that day, there were also problems at airports in Glasgow and Cardiff, among others.
