Three security chiefs in the State Protection Service lost their positions, “Rzeczpospolita” reported on Friday. “We heard from sources close to the Ministry of Internal Affairs that the general reason for the dismissal is the fact that these are directors who took up their positions during the PiS era despite their young age and little experience,” it was reported.
The daily reported that the decision to dismiss the three directors was made by the commander of the State Protection Service, Brig. RadosÅ‚aw Jaworski. We are talking about Col. Andrzej Hys, pseudonym. “Hysik”, who worked in the president's protection directorate, Col. Marcin Magnuszewski pseudonym. “Magnus” from the board of protection of the prime minister and members of the government and Major Mariusz Król pseudonym. “Rabbit” from the Special Protection Board.
According to the newspaper, everyone was transferred to the so-called commandant's disposal. It lasts half a year, during which time the officers will receive 100 percent of their remuneration.
Official reason for cancellation unknown
“Rzeczpospolita” points out that these are the three most important protective boards in the SOP, and the board of Maj. Mariusz Król is responsible for protective activities during the period started at the beginning of 2025 Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
