The most difficult flood situation is in the south of the country. During the night from Saturday to Sunday, the alarm levels on rivers in the south of the Silesian Voivodeship were significantly exceeded. Some of them overflowed. On Sunday morning, the Regional Water Management Board in Gliwice reported that the Racibórz Dolny reservoir had been launched. “Since approx. 4:20 a.m., it has been receiving the swollen waters of the Odra River. We are lowering the gates of the overflow and discharge structure. We are protecting Kędzierzyn-Koźle, Opole, Wrocław and smaller towns,” it was written. Difficult conditions are not only in Poland – the Czech Republic and Slovenia are being flooded.
