A 36-year-old man stopped for a road check and found drugs in his possession was offered to police officers in Racibórz (Silesian Voivodeship) for a bribe of PLN 4,000. The man admitted driving under the influence. The officers were not tempted by the financial offer.
On Saturday before midnight, police officers from Racibórz stopped a Seat for inspection on Armii Krajowej Street. When they approached the car, the driver offered them PLN 2,000 to stop further inspection.
Two tempting offers
“The 36-year-old resident of the Kornowac commune was clearly nervous. Probably because his driving license was suspended in 2018. Additionally, the officers found psychoactive substances in the vehicle, and the driver admitted that he had also taken them a moment before leaving,” she said in the press release. Silesian police.

While the officers were waiting for the tow truck, the 36-year-old repeated his offer, but this time he increased the rate. He offered four thousand zlotys to let him go. However, the officers were not tempted by the money.
The 36-year-old's blood was taken for testing to check the content of prohibited substances in his body. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
