A road tunnel will be built in Rembertów along Marsa Street and Aleja Chruściela “Montera”. Two companies are interested in construction. In addition to the tunnel, two more roundabouts and underground crossings will be built. The changes are also waiting for nearby streets.

The tunnel will connect the new and old Rembertów, increase road safety and reduce the travel time through railway line No. 2. In the tender for the implementation of this investment, two offers – Budimex companies in the amount of approximately PLN 154.6 million and Intop company in the amount of around 134.7 million zlotys.

The selected contractor will have 29 months for the investment.

The new road leading to the tunnel will start at the intersection of Marsa and Ilskiego streets, where a roundabout will be built. The tunnel, running under the railway tracks and ul. Cyrulików, will have one road with two lanes. The bus stops in it will be connected with underground crossings leading to the railway platform. Departure from the tunnel will be in Aleja Chruściela “Montera” in the area of ​​Strażacka Street. At the intersection of Cyrulików Street with Aleja Chruściela “Montera” a roundabout will be built.

The investment includes not only the construction of a tunnel, but also a projectile construction and introduction of changes on several surrounding streets. A new section of Belli Street will be built from the intersection with bullet to the liquidated crossing through the tracks. Belli and Mars, from the intersection with Połoccowa Street to the designed roundabout, will be one -way roads with the possibility of bicycle traffic. The bullet will gain a connection with Ilskiego Street and will become a two -way road with pavements on both sides, enabling access to the nearby property and a shopping center.

The investment will be implemented jointly by the capital's management board of the city's expansion and PKP PLK.

They wrote numerous petitions in this matter, organized happenings, because traveling through the tracks on the Warsaw West – Terespol line is the shortest way to get from the old to new Rembertów.

To efficiently drive from one part Rembertów to another, you need to be a lot of luck. The barrier at the crossing through the tracks, which divide the district in half, rises and falls every few minutes. As we wrote on tvnwarszawa.pl, barriers fall and rise there 300 times a day. The intensity of railway traffic and the vicinity of the platform, at which suburban trains, as well as a commodity station, stop, cause that the passage is closed on average six hours a day. The inhabitants lose time, ambulances have a problem, and entrepreneurs have enough.
