Rzeszów, Jasło. Four -month -old Nadia had broken limbs and head injury. Parents heard the sentence

Five years in prison for Magdalena K. and a year and a half for Artur K. is a judgment heard by the parents of the tortured Nadia. The court convicted them of abusing his daughter with particular cruelty and causing her injuries to realistically threatening her. The verdict is unlawful.

The court decided that the mother was abusing the child, and the father did nothing to stop it. Nadia was guilty of causing injuries. According to “Gazeta Wyborcza”, the woman was supposed to throw her, tug, shake and squeeze strongly as a result of which the girl suffered numerous bruising and abrasions of the epidermis, breaking the right femur and forearm. The child also had a serious head injury real life -threatening.

The child's father was sentenced to one and a half years in prison. According to “Wyborcza”, the court knew that the man did nothing to protect his daughter and did not stop his mother when she was to abuse her. They both cannot perform professions related to upbringing, care, education and treatment of children.

The woman is in custody, the man left him in October 2023.

The verdict is unlawful.

Allegations for parents

The District Prosecutor's Office in Jasło, which was investigating in this case, raised 20-year-old Magdalena K. II 25-year-old Artur K. allegations of Article 207 par. 1 in connection with the article 207 par. 2 of the Penal Code and from Article 165 parish 1 point 2. KK.

At the beginning of the investigation, the prosecutor's office charged Nadia's parents with abuse of “a clumsy person because of his age”. The change in the allegations was related to the prosecutor's obtaining a detailed judicial and lekary opinion in the field of injury, which was revealed in a minor girl, their extent, nature, and the time of their creation. For these actions, the child's parents were punishable by imprisonment from one to 10 years. With an earlier charge, the threat of punishment was lower – it was from six months to eight years.

During the investigation, the child's parents did not confess to the alleged acts.

Nadia had broken limbs and head injury

The tiny Nadia was transported in October 2023 with an ambulance from the hospital in Jasło to the Provincial Hospital No. 2 in Rzeszów with severe injuries: head injuries, legs and arms fractures. The doctors found a young child's team at the girl – she was hyperactive and fearful.

The hospital notified the police, and the child went to the operating table, and then to the neurological ward due to the detected head injuries. Later, it was kept in a pharmacological coma for some time.

At the end of 2023, due to the further treatment process related to head neurological injuries, Nadia was taken to the University Children's Hospital in Krakow.

The girl went to a foster family

The court limited, until the final termination of the proceedings, the parental authority of both parents. A foster family was appointed to care for the girl.

Nadia's mother wanted her grandparents to take care of the child. However, the District Court in Jasło did not agree.

– Before the child went to the hospital, he stayed with these grandparents for a week. It seems unbelievable that they do not notice some injuries on the girl's body – then Grażyna Krzyżanowska, head of the District Prosecutor's Office in Jasło, told us, explaining the court's decision.

The family had a blue card

Magdalena and Artur K. lived with Nadia in one of the villages of Powasielski. The woman moved into her parents' home on October 13. Earlier, she informed the police that her partner was abusing her. The officers founded the “Blue Card” family.

After a week's stay with her parents, Magdalena K. brought her child to the hospital in Jasło. The woman claimed that Nadia fell out of her hands. The girl was transported to Rzeszów. The hospital informed the police, and then the prosecutor's office took care of the matter.
