The Secretary of US internal security Kristi Noem visited the megawięzności in El Salvador, to which Venezuelans deported from the US were transported. She warned that criminals staying in her country illegally “leave now”, because otherwise they would go to this prison.
On Wednesday, Kristi Noem came to a visit to El Salvador and appeared in Megawięzna – the Center for Terrorism isolation (Cecot) in the city of Tecoluca. The American Secretary of Internal Security was guided by the Salvador Minister of Justice and Public Security Gustav Villatoro Funes. They both signed a memorandum regarding cooperation, which, as the minister wrote – is to ensure more efficient exchange of information on criminals.
Noem on the website X has published a recording on which he stands in front of one of the goal, full of half -naked, tattooed men, gang members, and thank you to the Salvado authorities for “bringing terrorists and imprisonment of them.” She warned that the megawięzenie is only “one of the tools” the USA has. “Together with President Trump we have a clear message for those who commit illegal immigrants: go now. If you don't leave, we'll find you, arrest you and you can finish in this El Salvado prison,” she wrote.

Deportations for megawień in El Salvador
United States have concluded a contract with the El Salvadorunder which They deport some migrants accused of crimes to this country. Until now, Salvador has adopted 238 alleged members of the Venezuelan TREM de Aragua gang and 22 MS-13 gang members. Deportations were possible under the provisions of the 18th century – the Act “Alien Enemies Act” (on foreign enemies), which he referred to on March 15 Donald Trump. It assumes the express deportation of foreigners bypassing normal procedures and allows the citizens of the countries to be expelled with the United States.
Megawięzzień was opened in 2023 about 70 kilometers from the capital of the country of San Salvador, as part of the “War of Gangs” waged by President Nayible. It can accommodate up to 40,000 people and is the largest such plant of the Americas. Trump's administration emphasized that “the worst of the worst” criminals would go to prison, although, as CNN indicates, she did not provide specific evidence that all these people belong to gangs.
