A train and a bus collided near the town of Nove Zamky in southern Slovakia on Thursday. According to Slovak services, five people were killed and there were also injured.
Five ambulances and two medical helicopters were sent to the scene of the accident. The train was traveling from Prague to Budapest.

A video appeared on the Internet showing fire at the front of the train and smoke rising above the train.
The accident occurred at an intersection with barriers and traffic lights, said Vladimira Bahylova, spokeswoman for the office managing the Slovak railway. The bus was destroyed and the locomotive burst into flames.
After a cloudburst
According to information from rescuers, the situation is made more difficult by the fact that the nearest hospital in Nove Zamky was damaged in Wednesday's cloudburst and is partially unable to admit injured people.
According to information from Slovak Railways, there were over 100 people on the train. The locomotive, owned by Czech Railways, was operated by Czech drivers. Slovak media quote a woman as saying that the signals at the crossing had not been working for two days.
