A kestrel chick was trapped between the ceiling and the coffers in one of the rooms of the District Police Headquarters in Słubie (Lubuskie Province). Police officers came to the rescue in time and saved the protected bird.
As reported by the press officer of the police in Słubice, Senior Warrant Officer Ewa Murmyło, on Wednesday (July 3) the police heard sounds coming from the ceiling cassettes. – Moreover, the sounds were getting much louder every now and then – the policewoman informed.
The police decided to check the source of the strange sounds. Then they noticed a chick under one of the caissons. They pulled it out and contacted a vet. “It turned out to be a chick of a protected kestrel,” said Senior Warrant Officer Murmylo.
