IMWM warnings – heavy snowfall
Level 1 warnings against heavy snowfall are in force in the voivodeship Lower Silesiain the following counties: Lwówek, Karkonosze, Jelenia GóraWałbrzyskie, WałbrzychKłodzko.
Snowfall is forecast, causing an increase in snow cover in areas above 800 meters above sea level by 10 centimeters. The alarms will be valid from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday.
IMWM warnings – strong wind
IMWM warns against strong winds. Warnings about this weather threat were issued in the following voivodeships:
- Lower Silesiain the following counties: Lubań, Zgorzelec, Lwówek, Karkonosze, Jelenia Góra, Wałbrzych, Wałbrzych, Kłodzko, Ząbkowicki;
- Opole provincein Nysa County.
Strong winds with an average speed of up to 35 kilometers per hour, with gusts of up to 80 km/h, are forecast to occur from the south and southwest. Warnings will be valid from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday.
IMWM warnings – freezing precipitation
IMWM also issued warnings about freezing precipitation in the following voivodeships:
- Lower Silesiain the following counties: Lubań, Zgorzelec, Lwówek, Karkonosze, Jelenia Góra, Wałbrzych, Wałbrzych, Kłodzko, Ząbkowice;
- Opole provincein the following counties: Nysa, Prudnik, GÅ‚ubczyce.
Locally light freezing rain or drizzle causing black ice is forecast. The warnings will be in force from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday.
IMWM warnings – icing
It will become slippery in parts of the country. Ice warnings have been issued in the following voivodeships:
- Podkarpackiewhere warnings will be valid from 11 p.m. on Thursday until 8.30 on Friday;
- Lublin Provincein southern counties, where it will be dangerous from 11 p.m. on Thursday until 8.30 on Friday;
- Lesser Polandin eastern counties, where alarms will remain in force until 9.30 on Friday;
- Świętokrzyskiein the following poviats: Busko, Staszów, Sandomierz, where the warnings will enter into force at midnight on Friday and expire at 8.30 the same day.
