Sopot. Sofitel Grand Sopot was sold to Sinfam Investments

AccorInvest, the owner of Orbis SA, announced on Monday the sale of the Sofitel Grand Sopot hotel to Sinfam Investments – a company representative said. The announcement did not specify the value of the transaction. According to trojmiasto.pl, it amounts to PLN 125 million.

AccorInvest Communications Manager for Central and Eastern Europe Emilia Maraszek informed PAP on Monday that the Sofitel Grand Sopot hotel has been sold to Sinfam Investments.

The new owner of the Grand Hotel

“From 2021, AccorInvest is implementing a transformation plan aimed at consolidating the Group's portfolio around the most profitable assets, mainly in the economy and midscale segments in Europe. The successful sale of the Sofitel Grand Sopot hotel to Sinfam Investments is a strategic step in the AccorInvest transformation process” – Maraszek added.

Emilia Maraszek announced in a statement that Accor (AccorInvest and Accor are two different entities) will continue to manage the hotel.

AccorInvest is a company with a portfolio of almost 700 owned and leased hotels in 24 countries in Europe, Latin America and Asia. He is the owner of Orbis SA

The buyer of the Grandhotel in Sopot – Sinfam Investments, is a Polish company investing in hotel facilities. The owner of Sinfam Investments is Hotel Warszawianka Congress Center, which has, among others, 4-star Hotel Warszawianka, one of the largest conference facilities in Poland.

The announcement did not specify the value of the transaction. According to trojmiasto.pl, it amounts to: PLN 125 million.

Grand Hotel

Grand Hotel is located by the beach and right next to the entrance to the pier in Sopot. It is one of the most prestigious hotels in Poland. It was created in the 1920s. The official opening took place in 1927. Almost twenty years ago, the name changed from Grand Hotel to Sofitel Grand Sopot.
