A car with three people inside broke through the barrier on the bridge and fell into the water. A police patrol that was passing by pulled the car to the shore. There were a driver, a passenger and a two-year-old girl in the car. The child was taken to hospital.
The dangerous situation occurred on Friday, November 22, around 7 p.m. at ul. Szydłowski in Starachowice. During the patrol, the police noticed a damaged barrier on the bridge, and after a while they saw that in the water, Asp. Paweł Kusiak, police spokesman in Starachowice, the officers heard someone from this vehicle calling for help and saw that there were three people in the car.
– Most likely, the 35-year-old driver, a resident of Starachowice, lost control of the vehicle, did not adjust his speed to the road conditions, drove off the road, broke through the barriers on the bridge and fell into the river. There was also a 2-year-old girl and a 33-year-old passenger in the vehicle. Nothing happened to all three of them.
