The first equality march took place in Stargard (West Pomeranian Voivodeship). Participants walked through the city streets proclaiming the slogan “I am who I am, I love the same.” After the march, discussion panels about the needs of LGBT+ people were held in the market square. The participants included: politicians.

The first equality march in Stargard took place under the slogan “I am who I am, I love the same.” The organizer was the Tęczowy Stargard collective, and the initiative was supported by the Lambda Polska foundation with its headquarters in Szczecin and the Campaign Against Homophobia.

The participants, in a conversation with a TVN24 journalist, said that they were fighting for equal rights, which should be independent of views. – No one is allowed to get into other people's beds – they explained.

Anna Krasoń, a city councilor in Stargard, noted that with such marches, participants want to sensitize residents and convince them that everyone is equal. “We hope that people will stop being afraid and ashamed,” she added.

After the march, three panel discussions about people's needs were held in the market square LGBT+ and people with disabilities. Representatives of discriminated social groups took part in the discussions, including: Łukasz Rzążewski, the only person in Poland with cerebral palsy who trains boxing professionally, and politicians, Urszula Pańka and Patryk Jaskulski.

The event was held under the honorary patronage of the mayor of Stargard, Rafał Zając, the marshal of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, Olgierd Geblewicz, and the Minister of Equality. Katarzyna Kotula.
