An aggressive Rottweiler got out of a property in Starogard Gdański (Pomeranian Voivodeship) and attacked a dog walking with its owner. The incident was recorded by a passer-by. The recording shows an elderly woman trying to protect her pet. When the police arrived, the dogs had already been separated. The officers fined the owner of the Rottweiler.
The incident took place at the end of November 2024 in the Nad Jarem housing estate in Starogard Gdański.
– The officer on duty at our police station received a report about an aggressive dog. It attacked another dog with which the owner went for a walk – said Asp. staff. Marcin Kunka from the KPP in Starogard Gdański. – The policeman who received the report sent the nearest patrol to the spot – he added.
When the police arrived at the scene, the dogs had already been separated.
– After determining the preliminary circumstances regarding this report, they ended the intervention by imposing a fine on the owner of PLN 500 for an offense related to failure to exercise caution when keeping an animal – said Kunka.
The situation was recorded by a random passer-by who – as can be seen in the video – tried to pull the aggressive dog away together with an elderly woman. We are not publishing the recording because it is too drastic.

The dog survived
The case was first described by kociewiak.pl, which received the recording. The portal's journalists also determined that the bitten dog survived, but suffered serious injuries.
– The police determined that it was a one-time incident involving this Rottweiler. There were no reports of similar reports in 2024 in the area of the intervention site. As it was established, the dog has never reacted like this, and currently its owner and the animal are staying abroad – summed up Asp. staff. Marcin Kunka.
