Storms will appear in the coming days in our country. On Sunday, almost all provinces will be at risk of violent phenomena – according to the IMGW threat forecast.
Forecasters from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMWM) issued a forecast of meteorological threats for the coming days.
IMWM threat forecast for Sunday
IMWM plans to issue first-degree warnings before storms for voivodeships:
- Pomeranian;
- West Pomeranian;
- lubuskie;
- Lower Silesia;
- Greater Poland;
- Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship;
- Lodz;
- Warmia-Masuria;
- Masovian;
- Podlaskie;
- Lublin;
- Opole
- Silesianin the western counties.
IMWM threat forecast for Monday
On the first day of the week, storms are possible in the eastern parts of Poland. The lowest level warnings may apply to the following provinces:
- Lesser Polandin the following counties: Sucha, Nowy Targ, Myślenice, Limanowa, Tatra, Nowy Sącz, Nowy SączGorlice;
- Subcarpathianin the counties of Jasło, Krosno, loomSanok, Brzozów, Lesko, Bieszczady, Przemyśl, IndustryJarosław, Przeworsk, Lubaczów;
- Lublinin the eastern counties;
- Masovianin the Łosice district;
- Podlasiein the following counties: Suwałki, SuwalkiAugustów, Sokółka, Białystok, BialystokHajnówka, Bielsk, Siematycki.
IMWM threat forecast for Wednesday
Tuesday should not bring any dangerous weather phenomena. According to IMGW, storms will appear in the north-west of the country the next day. First-degree warnings may apply to the entire province West Pomeranian.
What is the first-degree IMWM meteorological warning?
First-degree warning predicts conditions conducive to the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that may cause material losses and threaten health and life. Conducting business in conditions of exposure to these factors is difficult and dangerous. Expect difficulties resulting from conducting activities in the area of the threat, including delays caused by traffic disruptions, disruptions in the course of outdoor events or the possibility of their cancellation.
