At least 46 people, including many officers and civilians, died as a result of a military plane crash that crashed on the outskirts of the capital of Sudan, Khartoum, the army said. The cause of the machine accident was a technical failure.
The Sudany armed forces informed on Tuesday that the plane crashed on that day during the start from Wadi Seidna's air base, and fatalities were both military staff and civilians. According to the sources, one of the higher rank of army commanders, the division general Bahr Ahmed.

The military source had previously informed the French AFP agency that the cause of the Antonov aircraft accident was a technical failure.
Wadi Seidna Air Base is one of the largest military centers of the army in Omdurman, a part of the great Khartus. The Karari Resistance Committee, some of the volunteer network coordinating help throughout Sudan, informed that at least 10 bodies of the victims of the accident and several injured were transported to the al-Nao hospital in Omdurman.
The Sudan Army and Fast Support forces (RSF) have been conducting war since mid -April 2023. According to the UN and local authorities, the conflict consumed the lives of over 20,000 people and forced 14 million inhabitants of the country to resettle. Research conducted by experts from American universities estimate the number of victims at about 130,000.
