In Świerkocin (Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship), a drunk man was transporting his nine-year-old daughter on a moped. The 52-year-old blew more than three per mille of alcohol. He faces up to three years in prison.
On Monday (July 23), Grudziądz police officers from the SPEED group noticed a moped driver on national road number 55 in the town of Świerkocin who was having trouble staying on his vehicle.
– While driving, he was securing himself by placing his feet on the road the whole time. There was also a child on the moped, as it turned out later, it was his 9-year-old daughter – said cadet Łukasz Kowalczyk, press officer of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Grudziądz.
More than three per mille
The police stopped the man for a check. A breathalyzer test showed that he had over 3 per mille of alcohol in his system.
– Now he will be charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. He faces up to 3 years in prison for that – the police officer said.
