The case of Karol Nawrocki's apartments. Piotr Zgorzelski and Monika Wielichowska comment

Let's be honest that this older man trusted the president – noted Piotr Zgorzelski in “Facts after Facts” on TVN24, commenting on new findings in the case of Karol Nawrocki's second apartment. Monika Wielichowska indicated that “more and more questions” arise in the case.

On Monday, Onet revealed new information on the second apartment of the PiS candidate for president Karol Nawrocki. According to journalists, 80-year-old Mr. Jerzy, who was to be looked after by the president IPNis in a social welfare home. The day before, a spokeswoman for the PiS candidate wrote that he no longer has contact with a man. The contact attempt was to take place in December last year. Nawrocki was to look for Mr. Jerzy and ask about his place of stay among his neighbors. However, he did not inform the services and did not answer journalists' questions about why he did not do it. Onet journalists did not have a more serious problem to determine the whereabouts of the 80-year-old.

According to the information obtained by TVN24, Nawrocki and his wife bought a flat in 2017 without taking a loan from Mr. Jerzy. The preliminary contract was signed in 2012.

This apartment was previously a municipal apartment. Daniel Stenzel from the Gdańsk City Hall said that Mr. Jerzy – a former owner – in 2011 exercised the preferential right of pre -emption of a municipal apartment for 10 percent of the value. The apartment cost Mr. Jerzy about PLN 12,000.

– It was also the fact that this man, giving away a flat at a good price, also expected some help – added the deputy marshal of the Sejm.

– There are more and more questions. We put one thing: we are waiting for a property declaration. Although at this point I think that even if he showed this property declaration, it would not make much to this case – said Wielichowska.

Deputy Marshal also referred to the Monday conference of Nawrocki, at which he avoided answering journalists. – Today I watched the whole conference, although it is difficult to call it, this event, so, a conference. After all, specific questions were asked, the PiS candidate did not answer any of the questions – she said.

What about Nawrocki's property declaration? “He can print them and show public opinion”

In the discussion around the second apartment of Nawrocki, there is – mentioned by Wielichowska – a question about the property declaration of the PiS candidate, which could brighten the details of the purchase of a studio of Mr. Jerzy by the PiS candidate. According to Zgorzelski and Wielichowska, the head of the Institute of National Remembrance may publish them.

– I suspect that, like me and the deputy marshal, he has such a statement he made, so he can print it and show public opinion. Perhaps some issues would be clarified, but many questions remain unanswered. We will probably drill and look. It seems to me that this case even requires a prosecutor's supervision – said Deputy Marshal of the Sejm.

In turn, Zgorzelski indicated two ways to solve this issue. – The first, indicated by Mrs. Marshal, or simply: open your computer man or reach if you are more analog, to some binder and there is your statement and you can publish it. You really don't have to wait for the decision of the first president of the Supreme Court, which if she had civic reflexes and did not act in party logic, she would do it herself, because she can do it – said Zgorzelski.

And who looks after Mr. Jerzy? “I, Mr. Marshal, lady, all of you”

– Mr. Karol Nawrocki starts the function, which of his constitutional being is the head of the armed forces. So – you can say – such the first guardian of the Commonwealth. Well, for now, with this care over one citizen of the Commonwealth, he is poorly coming out – commented Zgorzelski.

In turn, Wielichowska stated that “PiS candidate Nawrocki was to look after Mr. Jerzy. Instead of Mr. Jerzy, he took care of his apartment.” – And who looks after Mr. Jerzy? I, the marshal, lady, all of the state, because the public money of this gentleman in the DPS is paid for – noted MP KO.

On Monday, Daniel Stenzel, spokesman for the President of Gdańsk, reported that an annual stay in the DPS costs PLN 92,000. As he passed, the city pays for taking care of Mr. Jerzy.

Zgorzelski also mentioned the last meeting of the president USA Donald Trump with Nawrocki in the White House. – Objectively, let's say that from the point of view of every staff it is a success, right? Only something else, when the next day there is a collision with such a reality of everyday life. Here the guest is on the pantheon, and here is an ordinary man who counted on help and landed in the DPS – noted the Sejm Deputy Marshal.

– (Nawrocki) said that he spent seven hours at important talks in the White House. I think he was just wrong, the editor. Not seven hours, only seven seconds, because two seconds take a photo, and another three hand pass – said Wielichowska.
