Today, a request for the temporary arrest of Olgierd L. will be submitted to the court – said national prosecutor Dariusz Korneluk in “One on One” on TVN24.
On Thursday, the Internal Security Agency detained Olgierd L. in Gdańsk. He was charged with committing five crimes. The investigation into this case was initiated on February 1, 2024. The basis for initiating the investigation was the information provided by the Internal Security Agency regarding the suspicion of sabotage and sabotage by a Ukrainian citizen in Wrocław – informed PK spokesman Przemysław Nowak.
National prosecutor Dariusz Korneluk commented on the case on Friday in “One on One” on TVN24. He said that the charges against Olgierd L. concern, among other things, participation in an organized criminal group. He noted that the proceedings were ongoing and he could not “go into too far-reaching details.”
He informed that “an application for the suspect's temporary arrest will be submitted to the court today.”
The host of the program, Agata Adamek, noted that questions arose as to why the prosecutor's office was remembering Olgierd L. now. Korneluk replied that “there is no political prosecutor's office today.” He added that “the prosecutor's office does not look at the political calendar.”
Information about the connections of Karol Nawrocki, PiS candidate for president, with Olgierd L. is one of the main elements of the loud anonymous “report” about Nawrocki's past, which has recently circulated in the media. It contains a warning that Olgierd L. may become one of the “main characters in the narrative about the candidate's entanglements”.
