This is a very sad and unfortunate situation. All formalities were completed, everyone knew exactly what was happening and there was consent. Then such a political decision was made – said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz, Minister of Funds and Regional Policy (Polska 2050) in “Fakty po Faktach” on TVN24. She referred to the decision of the chairman of NSZZ “Solidarność”, Piotr Duda, who withdrew consent to rent the historic BHP Hall to Szymon Hołownia.

Marshal of the Sejm Szymon Hołownia was to appear on Saturday, December 7, in the historic BHP Hall in Gdańsk. The chairman of Poland 2050 in Pomerania, Szymon Redlin, announced last Friday on Radio Gdańsk that the inauguration of the presidential pre-campaign of the leader of Poland 2050 was planned there.

The chairman of NSZZ “Solidarność”, Piotr Duda, announced in a statement published on Monday that he had withdrawn his consent to rent the BHP Hall in Hołownia. “Mr. Marshal, this is not what we agreed on,” he said, turning to Hołownia. “The hall was to be the venue for a meeting between Marshal Szymon Hołownia and the inhabitants of Gdańsk, combined with the celebration of the anniversary of the introduction of martial law in Poland. Consent to such use of the hall was issued by NSZZ 'Solidarity',” he wrote. He emphasized that “with an unpleasant surprise” he received the information that the BHP Hall was to be the venue for the inauguration of the presidential candidate's election campaign.

Pełczyńska-Nałęcz: this is a political decision

She referred to the matter in “Fakty po Faktach” on TVN24 Katarzyna Pełczyńska-NałęczMinister of Funds and Regional Policy (Poland 2050).

– This is a very sad and unfortunate situation. All formalities were completed, everyone knew exactly what was happening and there was consent, she said. She added that “then such a political decision was made.”

– And this is a decision regarding a place that we would really like – and this was also the Marshal's intention – to be perceived as a place that belongs to everyone, is beyond divisions, is a very important historical place for us, which we can think of as a community place. And suddenly someone appropriates it for some political purpose of their own. It's just sad, she said.

The minister said that “the explanation that someone did not know is simply inconsistent with the facts.” – Everyone knew everything – she argued.

– I assure you that the information was precise and accurate. All this was paid for and certain documents came from Poland 2050, because there was also information that it came from the Sejm. Nothing like this happened – added Pełczyńska-Nałęcz.
