A hearing regarding the pre-trial detention of former Deputy Minister of Justice Marcin Romanowski was scheduled for November 28, PAP learned at the District Court for Warsaw-Mokotów. The case will be heard by a single panel of judge Monika Louklinska.
Request for the arrest for a period of three months of MP Marcin Romanowski (PIS) was sent on October 16 by the National Prosecutor's Office to the District Court for Warsaw-Mokotów.
In the opinion of the prosecutor's office, the need to arrest the suspected politician results from a justified fear of obstructing and obstructing the investigation, as well as from the real threat of a severe penalty being imposed on him – up to 25 years in prison.
The case will be heard by a single-member panel, judge Monika Louklinska.
The National Prosecutor's Office accuses Romanowski, a member of parliament from the PiS club, who in the years 2019-2023 was the deputy head of the Ministry of Justice, supervising the Justice Fund, of committing 11 crimes, including participation in an organized criminal group and fixing competitions for money from this fund in the amount of over PLN 112 million.
