On the street Jagiellońska in Bydgoszcz, a tram derailed. His wagon hit a pole and damaged traffic lights and the overhead line. Three people were slightly injured. Difficulties at the site of the incident are expected to last until 10 a.m.

The incident involving the tram took place shortly after 7:00 a.m. near the bus station at ul. Jagiellońska. As reported by Asst. Mateusz Jaster from the City Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Bydgoszcz, the vehicle derailed but did not fall over. The wagon hit a pole and damaged traffic lights and the overhead line. Five fire brigade units were dispatched to the site.

Firefighters report three minor injuries. They were taken to hospital for tests.

Traffic jams are the result of the incident

Tram traffic towards Fordon has been temporarily suspended. As a result, very large traffic jams occurred. The possibility of turning into Ogińskiego Street towards the final stop is blocked. Lines 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10 detour through Górny Taras. On the section from the Jagiellonów roundabout through ul. 3 Maja, Markwarta, Ogińskiego, Jagiellońska, Fordońska to the Kazimierz Wielki Bridge, replacement bus transport was launched.

Difficulties may last until 10 a.m.
