The Chief Sanitary Inspector Paweł Grzesiowski informs that the control of vaccination cards meant that Sanepid gets more applications about unvaccinated children. Parents' interest in children's vaccination after the deadline has also increased – he added.
On April 1, vaccination cards began. The Chief Sanitary Inspectorate emphasizes that he wants to check the exact number of people vaccinated against specific diseases. GIS points out that this is not the control of children, their parents or clinics.
The Chief Sanitary Inspector Paweł Grzesiowski said on Monday on the press briefing that the very fact of control meant that the sanitary department received more reports about unvaccinated children from vaccination points. He noted that this is due to the fact that clinics and clinics control their documentation.

Report NIK from November 2024, he showed that there is a lack of accurate data on the number of people who should be vaccinated, how many people were made to vaccinations and the number of refusals. NIK warned that a further increase in vaccination refusals could lead to an outbreak of an epidemic that are dangerous to life.
Compulsory vaccination against: tuberculosis, hepatitis B, diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, acute widespread childhood (polyomyelitis), measles, pigs, rose, invasive pneumococcal, invasive haemophilus influenzae type B, infections caused by rotaviruses, chickenpox.
The first vaccination against tuberculosis and hepatitis B is still in the hospital in the first day of his life. Further vaccinations should be done at 6-8 weeks of age of the child. They are performed by a doctor chosen by parents at the primary health care clinic.
In 2023, over 87,000 vaccination refusals were recorded in Poland, i.e. several times more than in previous years.
