Former Portuguese Prime Minister, who had just been elected president of the European Council, Antonio Costa, was robbed in the center of Lisbon. According to the police report, Costa didn't realize his phone was missing until an hour after the theft.

Former Prime Minister Portugal lost his mobile phone while walking in the Mouraria district of Lisbon's old town, popular with tourists, Portuguese police said Thursday, according to local media.

According to the police report, Costa only realised he had lost his phone more than an hour after it was stolen, while he was in a Lisbon restaurant.

This is the second unpleasant incident in Lisbon for the former Portuguese prime minister since Costa was appointed president of the European Council. A few days ago, the Portuguese socialist paid a ticket for parking his car illegally near the old town.
