For the last dozen or so years, goalkeeping has been the last thing the German national team could worry about. Manuel Neuer effectively cemented this position, and even when he couldn't play, Marc-Andre Ter Stegen replaced him. The problem is that none of them is available at the moment, and our western neighbors have a big problem. None of the candidates for their successor guarantees world-class level, and the most experienced of them… refused to come to the October training camp.
