The government will present a report on the work of the commission on Russian influence

The Prime Minister announced that the report would be presented at the end of October Donald Tusk after receiving the preliminary report of the commission on Russian and Belarusian influence in August.

The Prime Minister said then that the first report of the commission, which would contain substantive findings, would be presented on October 29 at the government meeting, and then publicly. – This will be the first report containing conclusions and precise information regarding these alleged activities of foreign services and foreign influence – he noted.

The Prime Minister said that the commission would deal with, among others, Russian influence on State Treasury companies, on the economy and economic decisions, as well as decisions regarding, for example, withdrawing weapons. He pointed out that the commission also records cases of Russian propaganda influence in the Polish media.

Ministry of Justice announced that so far 38 meetings of the commission for investigating Russian influence and the problem teams established by it have been held. On Tuesday, she became acquainted with the effects of the committee's work Council of Ministers.

So far, the committee's inquiries have been answered by, among others: ministries: healthdigitalization, culture, finance, climate, foreign affairs, sport and tourism, infrastructure, funds and regional policy, and the security department of the Ministry of Interior and Administration.

In addition, the information requested by the committee was provided by: the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, the National Prosecutor's Office, the Internal Security Agency, the Military Counterintelligence Service, the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, Office of Competition and Consumer Protection, Supreme Audit OfficePolish Financial Supervision Authority, Polish Institute of International Affairs, Center for Eastern Studies Marek Karpia, the Academy of War Arts, the Military Aviation Academy, Scientific and Academic Computer Network – National Research Institute (NASK), as well as the Podkarpackie Voivodeship Office in Rzeszów.

Prime Minister Donald Tusk said on Tuesday that the report on the commission's work contains strong theses and strong findings. He added that the three words that stuck in his mind from the short presentation of the document at the meeting of the Council of Ministers were: “(Antoni) Macierewicz, prosecutor's office and betrayal.”

The regulation on the establishment of the commission stipulates that government administration bodies and units subordinated to them or supervised by them provide the commission – at the request of the chairman – with assistance in performing its tasks, in particular present the necessary information, analyzes and documents, while observing the necessary information security rules, including protection of classified information.

In addition, the committee may use information provided to the Minister of Justice by the head of the Internal Security Agency or the head of the Foreign Intelligence Agency, the head of the Military Counterintelligence Service or the head of the Military Intelligence Service, and provided to members of the committee by the Prosecutor General, the National Prosecutor or other prosecutors authorized by them.

In accordance with the management, the chairman presents to the Prime Minister an annual report on the work of the committee – by March 31 of the year following the year to which the report relates, as well as partial reports on the work of the committee at least once every two months – unless the chairman decides otherwise. In August, the Prime Minister received a preliminary organizational report from General Stróżyk.

The ordinance stipulates that if a suspected violation of the law is identified, the commission will notify the appropriate authority.
