Natasza Urbańska For years, he has been surprising with his courage in taking on new challenges. After subsequent musical projects, it was time for the jury chair in “The Voice Kids' Eurovision?
Your concert “Last time” was the only ticket performance in Warsaw. What emotions were associated with this in the evening? Was there anything that made him particularly special?
It was an important concert for me, because I presented my own material, and I don't often have the opportunity to make it. We are working on this to change. I am now in my life in which I gain more and more courage to play my own music and do things that I care about. This concert was special also because of the presence of many friends from the industry, who could spend a different Sunday evening. This evening was also honored by my musical guests – Kamil Bednarek and Marcin Maciejczak, who took my invitation without hesitation. Thank you, guys!
How did the audience react to the concert? Was there a moment that particularly touched or surprised you?
The first moment when you see the full room, he burns your breath, only then you feel slight nervousness, adrenaline until in the end with each subsequent song there was a slack. I have received amazing energy and sincere emotions from the audience – this is a huge motivation to give concerts even more often! The most touching moments occurred after the show, when I could meet with fans. I got gifts, a lot of smiles and it turned out that everyone had a memory with me. This energy flow is indescribable.
How do you find yourself as a juror in the new edition of “The Voice Kids”? Did the decision to participate in the show came easily, or did you have to think about it longer?
I accepted this proposal with great joy and without hesitation! I am very grateful Rinke [Rooyens – przyp. red.] and the director of the program, Michał Majak, that they believed in me and my coaching potential (laughs). Of course, working on the program is very engaging, which means that I have to give up some activities such as theater or concerts. However, I try to reconcile it all.
Some Internet users say that the participants of “The Voice Kids” are too young to enter the world of show business. Do you think such an early start in show business can be risky?
Bright. I repeated many times how important the role of the parent is not only during the program, but on the way to dreams, which is singing, and thus … show business. If kid He dreams so much about the stage, it should be supported, not to say that it is too early. Be a shield for bad people who are lurking at every step and for too hasty elections. Of course, before we reach a certain level, we must trip a few times, take people on people and hear “no” a million times. It touches the spirit, builds armor for years. The most important thing to believe in yourself, develop your passions and not think about winning. Just enjoy the moment!
If your daughter, if she wanted to follow in the footsteps of her mother and become an artist, would she be easier or harder?
She was already becoming her! He performs on stage, plays in the “subway” and is currently studying in the music class. I think it was inevitable (laughs). Of course he is harder. We demand more from it and the surname does not help, because it is often assessed through the prism of its parents. Kalina is bravely fighting for herselfworks hard and participates in castings. He knows the industry in theory for now, but he sees how hard you have to work on yourself every day to give people performances at the highest level.
There are often rumors about your private life in this alleged crisis in marriage. How do you deal with such reports? Do they affect your family?
We have been both in the industry for so many years that it does not affect us in the slightest. I think we are both made of the same clay and we understand certain mechanisms. This is how show business works. We are a long -term marriage, we do not generate scandals, so the press must generate something (laughs).
You took part in Eurovision preselection. Why has Poland not achieve success in this competition for years?
I think we take this competition too little. We send an artist representing the country, i.e. it is not a cultural center competition, but a serious plebiscite on a European scale. I think in recent years Artists are sent a Eurovision Competition, they were not ready for this scenethey had no experience. There are also no big budgets, innovation, scenery, a coherent concept. This is a long time ago a competition “Only about a song”, it is a dream competition about the big stage. I take this event very seriously and it is still within my dreams.
This year, Justyna Steczkowska will represent Poland at Eurovision. How do you assess her chances of success? Is this a good choice?
Justyna is talent and class and a vast experience on stage. It is also consistent in its image and unique on a scale of voice. I believe that it will make a great impression on Europe, I will keep my fingers crossed!
What are your plans for this year? Can we expect new music, new theater or television projects?
My new single will be released soon! I also plan more concerts. I am working on my own musical and a music project that I can't talk about yet. And I dream about Eurovision… (laughter).
