I talked to the Minister of Finance, Andrzej Domański, and I know that he is working on solving the Gordian knot that the Supreme Court has tied up for us – said the head of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, Jan Grabiec, in “One on One” regarding the payment of money to PiS.
On Monday, the National Electoral Commission, implementing the decision of the unrecognized chamber of the Supreme Court, adopted the financial report of the PiS committee from the 2023 parliamentary elections. The head of the National Electoral Commission, Sylwester Marciniak, said that four out of nine members of the National Electoral Commission voted for the adoption of such a resolution, three were against and two abstained.
This was the result of a decision by the Chamber of Extraordinary Control and Public Affairs of the Supreme Court, whose activities are questioned, among others, by European tribunals. This chamber accepted PiS's complaint about the earlier rejection of the report by the National Electoral Commission. Now he is the Minister of Finance Andrzej Domański is to decide on payment or withholding payment to PiS.

The reasons for the initial rejection of the PiS committee report by the National Electoral Commission included: PiS election campaigning during military picnics, an advertising spot of the Ministry of Justice and the election campaign conducted by employees of the Government Legislation Center. The cases then considered by the National Electoral Commission to be indisputably violating the rules of conducting an election campaign, after recalculation, amounted to PLN 3.6 million.
Grabiec: the solution adopted by the Minister of Finance will be legal
Head of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister Jan Grabiec He said he talked to the Minister of Finance about this. – I talked and I know that he is working on solving this Gordian knot that he has tied up for us Supreme Courtappointing neo-judges to rule on the PiS report, and later National Electoral Commission. I know Minister Domański and I know that the solution he will adopt will certainly be legal. He always takes care of it, said Grabiec.
– The question arises whether it will be consistent with the common sense of justice, because no one in Poland questions that PiS stole public money for the party campaign and that the original decision of the National Electoral Commission is a deeply justified decision – says the guest of “One on One”.
– The Minister of Finance must consider all options. He must be beyond any suspicion that he is acting in any biased way. Although I personally cannot imagine that it would suddenly turn out that the Supreme Court or the National Electoral Commission confirms that anyone in Poland who has public funds can spend this money on their campaign – he admitted.
