The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs has summoned Israeli Ambassador Ephraim Modi to clarify information regarding an alleged covert campaign of surveillance and espionage conducted by the Israeli intelligence services against senior staff of the International Criminal Court. This information was provided by the British “The Guardian”.

A day earlier – on Tuesday – the spokesman for the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Israeli ambassador was asked to appear at the ministry in connection with media reports about the espionage operation. In conversation “Dutch concerns” expressedbut no further details were revealed due to the “confidentiality of diplomatic talks.”
Israeli Embassy in the Netherlands has declined requests for comment for now.
