The Ministry of National Defense strengthens cooperation with Microsoft: On February 17, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz and the Microsoft Polska National Security Plenipotentiary Krzysztof Malesa signed a cooperation agreement in Warsaw. “The Ministry of National Defense together with Microsoft, based on the current, long -term cooperation, joined the talks regarding expanding support areas in the use of groundbreaking technologies in the defensive sectorprimarily in the use of the processing models in calculated clouds, artificial intelligence and computers quantum ” – we read in a statement.
This also includes the contract: We also find out from the entry on X that the cooperation includes Implementing innovations in the Polish Armymore effective response to threats in cyberspaceeducation, conducting scientific activities and increasing state security. – Use of infrastructure, of all that has already given us a long -term contract with Microsoft, today enters an even higher level – to this level of automatic response to threat and building immunity – said Kosiniak -Kamysz.
This is how the army of cyberspace weapons: – Poland is today one of the three most -attacked countries in cyberspace. This is the price that we pay for commitment to the defense of Ukraine – said the deputy head of the Ministry of National Defense, Cyberspace Safety Plenipotentiary, Cezary Tomczyk. – That is why today's agreement is so important. We treat them very seriously. We treat them as an agreement, which sums up 30 years of cooperation between Poland and Microsoft – he continued. Tomczyk also calculated that Attacks in cyberspace are represented around the clock by 6,000 soldiers of the Cyberspace Defense Forces Command.
So much Microsoft will invest in Poland: Before signing the agreement with the Ministry of National Defense, on Monday morning, the vice president of Microsoft Brad Smith and Donald Tusk announced investing in Poland until 2026 $ 700 million (approx. PLN 2.8 billion at the current exchange rate). Smith announced the acceleration of work on computing power in Poland, which is to be used primarily to strengthen cybersecurity in cooperation with Polish armed strength.
