The mountain queue collapsed in the south of Italy. There are fatalities. The probable cause of the disaster was a strong wind.
The accident occurred on the route connecting the city of Castellammare di Stabia, south of Naples, with the Faito peak. The mayor of Castellammare di Stabia, Luigi Vicinanza told journalists that the queue was broken. There was a driver and four tourists in the wagon. A very strong wind was blowing at the time of the accident.
The mayor added that the queue passed regularly, and her technical condition was good.
Four people are dead
Emergency services reported that four people were killed and one is seriously injured.
After this event, the electricity was cut off on the queue route. Therefore, another cable car wagon riding to the top got stuck at height, and sixteen of his passengers were evacuated.
