During the visit to the memorial site of the former German concentration camp Auschwitz-Birkenau, students from Goerlitz in the east of Germany performed a far-right gesture of white force. A photo of the incident is currently circulating on social media – writes the DPA agency.
During the educational trip on March 13, four students of the ninth class posed for a photo against the background of the former German extermination camp, performing the so -called White-Power gesture. This was confirmed by a spokesman for the Saxon Office for Schools and Education.
According to the spokesperson, the school management of Scultetus reacted immediately and conducted talks with students and parents. Students received reprimands – informs DPA. In addition, it has been agreed that they would perform social work in a sheltered workshop.
The neo -Nazi gesture is not punishable
As the Tag24 portal notes, the gesture made by students is to represent the superiority of the “white race”. Although this gesture is the hallmark of the neo -Nazi environment, its use is not punishable.
According to Tag24, the incident became known thanks to research conducted by the Dresden group “Antifa Elbflorenz”, which with great concern reacted to the neo -Nazi photo of students from Goerlitz. According to Antify, this event “shows the scale of the growth of youth neo -Nazism in Saxony”.
Recently, German media reported a similar incident: students of the Junior High School in Bielefeld in the West German They sang a racist song at the memorial site of the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. As he wrote, among others BR24, after sightseeing, some young people sang: “Germans for Germans, foreigners get out”.
