Stanisław Tym took care of his dogs. The housekeeper had to take care of the “entire dog shelter”

For years, the actor lived in the village of Zakąty on Lake Wigry in the Suwałki region. The housekeeper who looked after Tym's house remembers that he cared very much about the dogs he took in. Even though he was in the hospital every day before he died he asked to pet the pets. “Pat this one behind the ear and pat this one under the chin,” the housekeeper revealed, holding back tears in an interview with “Super Express”. “He missed his home, his desk, his neighbors and, of course, his dogs. And how he loved these dogs! He had a whole dog shelter there. And not the purebred ones, like the people from Warsaw, they are supposedly purebred and beautiful. NO! He collected these mutts with injuries and outcasts and gave them a home,” said the neighbor.

The woman also recalled that the satirist was very attached to the village where he lived. “He never, ever complained or talked about illnesses. He was such a real man. Sensitive, but tough! He often called us and wanted to know what was going on here. 'I'm dying without my Corners,'” he said, referring to a neighbor informed “Super Express”.

A neighbor remembers Stanisław Tym. “He wore his heart on his sleeve”

The actor was not only loved by the Polish audience. Privately, he also had a reputation for being cordial and helpful. “Stasiek this was our private angel! Always helpful, always cordial. The one with his heart on his sleeve. Whenever he passed by, he always had time to talk. And not in a detached way, but he always asked about everything, was interested, told stories himself,” revealed 75-year-old Wanda Wasilewska. “Stanisław was already very sick himself, when he found out from Warsaw, he called me and cried with me, and he sent money when the village came together for masses. That's the kind of person he was,” added neighbor Tyma. “He often helped. There were times when he spent the whole day collecting sheaves in the field with us. And then we ate dinner together. We invited each other to name days and birthdays. There was always something to eat, drink, sing…” – she recalled, sniffling. “The whole village is crying” – we read in “Super Express”
