Tornado passed on Monday in South Carolina. The wind with a speed close to 170 kilometers per hour destroyed houses and pulled out trees in Langley. The urban firefighter was the most destruction – several fire trucks were imprisoned inside, which caused firefighters to remove the effects of the storm.

On the night of Sunday to Monday over the state of South Carolina was raging storm. Intensive rainfall was accompanied by a strong wind and at least one tornado.

According to the data provided by the local branch of the National weather service (NWS), the air trumpet passed through the Aiken County area on Monday. Tornado touched the ground for about two minutes – during this time the element covered about 2.3 kilometers. Meteorologists estimated that the wind developed a speed of about 169 kilometers per hour.

“It pulled out the whole door and pushed it inside”

Langley was on the road. According to the local crisis management agency, the wind broke many energy lines and trees, damaged outbuildings and broke the roofs from several houses. The most serious damage was noted at the headquarters of the fire brigade. The wind broke the roof of the building in which fire trucks were parked and denied the door.

Firefighters' troubles delayed the cleaning of the storm slightly – on Tuesday the service was still cleared of blocked roads. Local authorities appealed to the residents for careful travel.
